Everything Else
“Nina is a renaissance woman, one of those gifted people who is very good at very many things.”
Spoken Soul 215 (SS215) is a collective of artists, friends and colleagues Perry "Vision" DiVirgilio( Philadelphia Youth Poetry Movement/PYPM) , Erica "RhapsodE" Hawthorne-Manon(Small But Mighty Arts), Reuben Jones (Frontline Dads), "Just Greg" Corbin (Philadelphia Youth Poetry Movement/PYPM), Stephanie "Rhythm" Keene (Incense Trap and Yoga) and Nina "Lyrispect" Ball. The Harvest (hosted and launched by SS215) was co-founded by poet Perry "Vision" DiVirgilio and April Harley, founder of Buje concepts, in 2009. Because of my background in film, I launched and lead curation a Harvest media pre-show to highlight emerging projects, filmmakers, musicians and media makers. I now serve as co-executive producer of The Harvest Open Mic and Showcase Experience, a relaxed-vibe creative space. Below is coverage of a themed night at the Harvest by MyNewPhilly.Com
Array Releasing (formerly AFFRM): In 2011 I began working with a small team of passionate Mavericks (volunteers) and headquarters leadership to organize, strategize, and execute our film releases on a national and local level. With a desire to carry the work forward, I created a manual of our best practices. I began as our local Philadelphia Captain and became the first official National Maverick Captain for the organization.
